Nataly Salomon

I am Nataly Salomon, I was born in Salcedo, Dominican Republic. Since I was a small child,  I really liked dancing. All of my Dominican ancestors are very mixed. My paternal great-grandfather migrated to my country from Lebanon and this made me feel a special connection to that culture. The fusion of my essence (dance) and part of my ancestry resulted in a beautiful passion for Arabic dance or belly dance.

From the age of 5 I started taking ballet classes. Then, at the age of 14, I joined a belly dance school where I was able to develop as a dancer. At this same school I was an instructor at the young age of 17 and a dancer for socio-cultural events and activities.

As the years went by, I continued to educate myself in dance, training with different international Instructors, several Egyptian Master instructors, such as Mahmoud Reda, known for being the pioneer of Raks Sharki.Whom is also co-founder of the Reda Troupe, a group that adapted Egyptian folk dances to present them in shows. I was also taught by great teachers from the United States, Argentina, Russia, Ukraine, among others. 

Currently, I live in New York City, USA offering services as an instructor and professional dancer.

Alicia Distefano

With Turkish and Spanish descendants I  was born  in the province of San Francisco de Macorís and raised in the capital Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. I migrated  to the United States of America and have established residence in the city of New York since the year 2012. 

Initially I started dancing at the age of 7 years old, I am an instructor, professional dancer and choreographer with 35 years experience in the world of Belly Dance with a trajectory and training in oriental dance and other styles such as, hip hop, jazz, Afro beats, Dominican Folk dance,  receiving training with international instructors from all over the world. My beginnings started in the Dominican Republic and for more than 23 years developing my talent I. The most prestigious school in my native conuntry Dominican Republic, with my first instructor and mentor, Vanessa Angulo. 

I was honored in May of 2009  with the 1st place in the first Oriental Dance contest ever made in the Dominican Republic where the judges were Mohamed Shahin y Sahar Sami, receiving the title of “Divine Belly Dancer”  I have shared stages with great artist of national and international dance. 

first place winner in 2011 in the “Virginia Favorites” competition, celebrated in the Dominican Republic.

I was also  part of the  judges, for the second national and international contest held in the Dominican Republic in 2011.

Currently, to continue innovating and training, I continue to increase my knowledge with the great Egyptian Master instructor Yousry Sharif in New York City, and online classes with other dancers instructors.

For me, the passion for dance is infinite, therapeutic and regenerates every cell in my body, it is and will  continue to be my best therapy for the soul.
